I don’t know how we manage this- but YET AGAIN a lovely day for this month’s community work day!

Lots of great work done by the plotholders who came along this month;

The greenhouse is almost finished and looking great – and so we had a big tidy up of Plot 48 prior to letting out the raised beds as try-out plots later this month. The rubbish was taken to Midhurst Road entrance to be collected by a waste disposal man.

We then moved on to Plot No 61 and levelled the area where the composting WC and the new shed are going to go. There were layers and layers of plastic under the mounds, shredding as we worked it, and it took a lot of heaving to get rid of it – a salutary lesson not to use plastic in this way again!

More volunteers very kindly pruned a couple of out-of- control apple trees on an abandoned plot prior to re-letting it – the difference is amazing!

Next work day is scheduled for Saturday 5th April – plan is to get the base ready for the shed on No 61, so we can transfer the contents from the current dilapidated old shed at the other end – hope to see you then.
