These workdays now happen the first Saturday of every month; they are when the HAA as a group carry out the maintenance of our site; looking after and generally tidying up the community plots as well as the communal paths, and providing a team to help any allotment holder in need; they save us the cost of a salary to a Plot Manager which keep our rents lower and frees funds for other elements beneficial to the Allotment community team.
Another fine summer’s morning for this months work day- thanks to the lovely volunteers who turned up to help.
Communal plot 61 and some of the main path was strimmed, and otherwise we concentrated on the construction of the Community greenhouse on plot 48.
The highest and lowest of the purlins are in place; the trickiest ones! More to be added in September
