About Us

Haslemere Allotments is run by an association made up from the site’s plot holders and was formed in February 2014.

With the support of Pathways, the site owners, a committee elected by plot holders manages the site’s day-to-day running. We let the plots, keep the site maintained, and arrange events to improve the site for the benefit of plot holders and the surrounding community.

Our site is located behind Haslemere Avenue in Northfields, Ealing W13. There are two entrances: in Haslemere Avenue itself, just down the road from Boston Manor tube station, and another in Midhurst Avenue, a short distance from Northfields tube.

Our site has almost 130 plots, most of which are now “half plots”, which are easier to manage and help with the heavy demand for plots in this area. There are about 140 plotholders and helpers spanning a wide range of ages and experience.

Facilities on the site are limited. We have running water, but are not allowed to use hosepipes. This means there is a lot of hard work watering in the summer months, though mulching can help immensely. We are lucky to have two beekeepers on the site looking after up to six hives. We grow a variety of fruit, vegetables and flowers. No two allotments are ever the same.

We hope our site will be of interest to our current members as well as people looking for an allotment in the Northfields area and for others who share our passion for growing things.

Site Maintenance Team

The site maintenance team consists of volunteers who generously offer their time to keep the site well maintained and improve the condition and appearance of it. The team plays a crucial role by organising repairs & maintenance, cutting the grass on main paths, looking after communal plots and checking the water tanks and taps.

The site maintenance team is currently made up of John McArthur (Plot 14A), Ian Hayes (Plot 23A), and Steve Embleton (Plot 50A) .
